Getting Started
The Pilates Body Movement studio has a few options on where to get your training started:- FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING
We offer many different Private Session Packages in Pilates, Power Plate Sessions, and Pole Fitness. A private session lasts 55min. where you will work on all the apparatus as well as the mat work. The sessions are tailored toward the client's goals, posture analysis, and lifestyle. Because of the precision of pilates, private sessions are the best way to start.
- FOR THOSE LOOKING TO GET INTO GROUP EQUIPMENT CLASSES
At the Pilates Body we require a minimum of 5 private sessions before entering a group equipment class. The Beginning Packages are great discounted start up packages that will include mat classes as well as the required 5 private sessions. The 5 privates will teach you the pilates principles, to become familiar with the equipment and learn the fundamental exercises performed in a group class. Note: for those with injuries we suggest not entering into group classes until approved by your pilates instructor or a P.T.
- FOR THOSE WANTING TO LEARN ONLY PILATES MAT
At the Pilates Body we suggest 1 private session prior to entering into a group mat class. This will give you a chance to get acquainted with the Pilates terminology used during the class as well as teach any modifications that will be needed. Note: For those with back or neck injuries we do not suggest mat classes.
